Weavv (“Weavv”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Weavv mobile app and website at weavv.io. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

The short version
- We help you coordinate plans with people — we are not in the business of selling your data.
- We never see what your calendar meetings are about. When you connect your calendar, only when you are busy may be shared — not event titles, locations, attendees, or notes.
- You control what you share. You can update your profile, disconnect permissions, or delete your account at any time.
1. Who we are
Weavv is an event coordination platform that helps groups find times and places that work for everyone.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account details: phone number and/or email address, display name, profile photo.
- Preferences: dietary preferences, budget preference, location area (e.g. “East London”), and other onboarding choices you enter.
- Event content: event names, dates, locations, RSVPs, messages, photos, and plans you create or respond to.
- Invites: names and contact details of people you choose to invite.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you contact support.
2.2 Information from your device (with your permission)
We only access the following when you grant permission:

- Usage data: app interactions, feature usage, crash reports, and performance logs.
- Device data: device type, operating system, app version, and language.
- Log data: IP address, timestamps, and diagnostic information when you use our services.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- Create and manage your account
- Coordinate events, RSVPs, and availability with your group
- Send invites, reminders, and notifications you expect
- Personalise suggestions (e.g. dietary preferences, location area)
- Improve, secure, and troubleshoot the app
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not sell your personal information.
4. How we share information
We share information only when needed to run Weavv:
- Other users: information you choose to share in an event (e.g. your RSVP, name, dietary preferences if relevant to the host).
- Service providers: trusted processors who help us operate Weavv, including:
- Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
- Twilio — SMS verification codes and invite messages
- Expo / Apple / Google — push notification delivery
- OpenAI — AI-assisted features (e.g. extracting event details from text you provide)
- Hosting providers — website and infrastructure
- Legal requirements: if required by law, court order, or to protect rights, safety, and security.
We require service providers to handle data only on our instructions and under appropriate safeguards.
5. Calendar privacy
This is important to us, so we state it plainly:
- Calendar event details never leave your device.
- If you enable calendar access, Weavv reads busy/free intervals on your device to help highlight when you may already be unavailable.
- Only start and end times of busy blocks may be stored on our servers — nothing that reveals what the event is, where it is, or who else is invited.
- If you RSVP yes to an event, you may choose to add it to your device calendar. That write happens on your device.
6. AI features
Some features use AI to help parse or suggest event details from text or images you provide. We send only the content needed for that specific task. Do not submit sensitive information you would not want processed for that purpose.
7. Data retention
We keep your information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we must retain it for legal, security, or fraud-prevention reasons.
8. Security
We use technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and secure authentication. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data responsibly.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based
- Port your data in a usable format
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority
To exercise these rights, email gav@weavv.io. We will respond within the time required by applicable law (typically 30 days).
UK / EEA users: We process personal data under lawful bases including contract (to provide the service), legitimate interests (to improve and secure Weavv), and consent (where you opt in, e.g. notifications).
10. International transfers
We may process data in the United Kingdom and other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for international transfers.
11. Children
Weavv is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version at https://weavv.io/privacy and update the “Last updated” date. For material changes, we will provide notice in the app or by email where appropriate.
